Training "Management of a universal health care insurance"

In collaboration with several partners, COOPAMI organizes in Belgium a training program, in French, on the management of a universal health care insurance.

This training is for stretegic employees of governments or international organizations involved in universal coverage of the country and aims to provide relevant solutions for countries wishing to modernize their social health protection systems.

The purpose of the training is to provide practical assistance to decision makers and designers of universal health care insurance, allowing them to refine their understanding of the concepts of universal health care insurance. This will help them to identify the challenges of the modernization of a universal health care insurance system.

The training programme involves a number of aspects to consider and tasks to complete.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to better manage their social health protection systems in a organizational, financially and qualitatively way.

Specific training programs in English are possible. For further information about the organization of such sessions, the interested administrations can send an e-mail to coopami@inami.fgov.be, with the subjects which they wish to see developed during the training, as well as the public to which this formation will be addressed.

How is the program structured?

The training consists of a number of theoretical and practical modules. Cultural visits are also planned.

It provides an overview of the Belgian system of social health protection and health care insurance: structure, legislation, decisions, administrative, financial and budgetary management, databases, control, pharmaceutical policy, monitoring and evaluation policies, … .

The modules are moderated by experts from the different partners of COOPAMI.

At the end of the training, the trainee has to present a project to develop the system of social protection in health in his country.

Admission requirements

To participate in the training program, candidates must benefit from a scholarship and be able to follow the training program that is given in French.
